How we work

Small lab, short list, done properly.

One codebase, six platforms

Kotlin Multiplatform for the logic, native interfaces where they matter: Android, iOS, Linux, Mac, Windows and web from the same core. One set of rules, no drift between platforms.

Built for the people using it

No attention traps, no dark patterns, no feature that exists only to move a metric. An app is finished when it does its job without asking for anything.

Offline first, sparing with data

Things work without a connection wherever they can, and data stays on the device wherever the job allows. What an app does collect is named in its privacy notice — no more than the job needs.

One project at a time

Client work and our own apps take turns instead of overlapping. That is why the list stays short — and why each thing on it gets a proper turn at the table.

The mobile app lab in Dresden

Independent and self-funded: sixteen years of mobile software for clients, plus our own apps — small enough that the people who write the code also answer the support mail.

Day to day, Aces on Mobile builds software with Kotlin Multiplatform — Android, iOS, Linux, Mac, Windows and web: shared logic, native interfaces, released and maintained on every target it ships to. Client projects run the same way our own apps do, which is the whole point of keeping the lab small.
